1) What is Oak Hill Christian School?
Oak Hill Christian School (OHCS), as a ministry of Oak Hill Bible Church, is an interdenominational Christian day school providing a foundation for life and learning
in a Christ-centered environment. OHCS was founded in 2003.



2) What grades are offered?
Oak Hill Christian school offers academic programs for children in Pre-K through
Grade Eight. Enrollment in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten is open to children
turning 4 (Pre-K) and 5 (Kindergarten) by December 31st. These students must
be screened and readiness will be determined. Pre-K has a two options - half-day or full day academic program.


3) What curriculum is used?
OHCS uses A Beka Book curriculum for all grades. A Beka Book sets the standard
of excellence in the publishing of textbooks and other materials for Christian
schools. It is unashamedly Christian and traditional in its approach.


4) Where do students come from?
Students have come from across Southern Worcester County, northeastern Connecticut,
and northwestern Rhode Island. They represent many local towns and
numerous area churches.


5) How much is the tuition?
Tuition for the 2008-09 academic year is $3,000 for Kindergarten and up. Pre-Kindergarten is $2,000 (half-day option) and $3,000 (full-day option). The registration fee is $250. per child (non-refundable). There is also a $25 application fee per child (non-refundable). A discount applies for multiple children from the same family.

6) Are uniforms required?
No uniforms are required. Students are expected to adhere to a dress code that
emphasizes modesty and appropriate dress for children. Details are provided in
the school handbook.


7) How many students will be in each classroom?
OHCS strives to maintain a low student/teacher ratio. The size of each class will
vary depending on enrollment. In some cases, grades may be combined, but
every effort is made to ensure each child receives the instruction needed. Teachers
are qualified individuals who meet the highest standards possible.


8) Are additional programs offered?
OHCS offers art, computer, gym, and music programs for children. Before and After school programs are available as a resource to parents (extra charges apply for these programs).
